Bringing scientific expertise and practical wisdom to environmental challenges since 2009
Stabilis Prism began in a small office overlooking the Brisbane River, founded by three ecologists who believed environmental consulting needed a different approach. They had seen too many projects stall because of adversarial relationships between developers and regulators, and they knew there had to be a better way.
Those founders brought together complementary expertise: one specialised in threatened species legislation, another in restoration ecology, and the third in stakeholder communication. That combination proved powerful. Within five years, the firm had grown to twenty staff and completed projects in every Australian state.
Today we remain independent and privately held. Our growth has been organic, driven by referrals from satisfied clients rather than aggressive marketing. That reputation matters to us more than rapid expansion. When you work with our team, you work with people who chose this career because they care about outcomes, not just outputs.
To deliver environmental consulting services that enable responsible development while protecting the ecological values that make Australia unique. We believe economic progress and environmental stewardship can advance together when projects are planned thoughtfully from the outset.
A future where environmental assessment is viewed as an opportunity rather than an obstacle. Where developers, regulators, and communities share a common understanding of ecological constraints and possibilities. Where every project leaves the landscape better than it found it.
